50 m long steel trusses either side of the pool hall support 36 m long glulam and CLT mass timber U beams. The glulam and CLT are used in composite action, creating a more efficient beam over this large span. Between the glulam beams, pressurised ETFE ‘pillows’ form a translucent roofing membrane.
