Holding our first Mass Timber structural Engineers Workshop in Adelaide last week allowed the group to visit the Adelaide Oval hotel under construction. An interesting project as it was converted from steel to CLT. Under a tight deadline to meet the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 series later this year, the project is on track.

The CLT sits on a remarkable steel chassis, apparently balanced on a central pin.
